Any player can use Merchant Kale. For players who don’t control Merchant Kale, activated abilities on Merchant Kale cost {1} more. {3}: Create a 1/1 Tarnished Creature token with Lifelink. {3}: Exchange two target lands. {3}: Sacrifice a creature you control and bring a creature from your graveyard back to your hand. {3}: Put a +1,+1 counter on target creature. If Merchant Kale is destroyed or exiled, target player loses 3 life.
