Mere Mortal

"I must be dreaming as I write this. The gods have
chosen me of all mortals to bring to the heavens.
They are mighty. Powerful. They are also quite
spoiled, but I am still in debt to them completely. I
understand not of what they discuss, possibly the fate
of humanity, but I cannot say. They only ask that I
bring them water. Consistently. I do not know if they
sleep. This is my job. Perhaps I am in a nightmare
after all."
