Innocence. Meaning, to kill a mockingbird
is to destroy innocence. Throughout the book
a number of characters Jem, Tom Robinson,
Boo Radley, can be symbolized by Mockingbirds
(Innocence that has been killed)

them, but remember its a sin to kill a mocking
bird."
