Naiads

Naiads are the protectors of rivers, streams, lakes, marshes, fountains, springs, and wells. Naiads are always female and known for being really jealous. Naiads are minor goddesses and only live in freshwater locations. Sometimes people claimed that the water naiads lived in had healing powers and bathed themselves in it. In Greek mythology Naiads would tell the town their name and then become the protector of the water source there. Naiads are also claimed immortal in Greek mythology .
