Oregon Grape

Berberis aquifolium
Lewis called this plant "red holly" or "mountain
holly," but never remarked upon its many uses.
Its berries can be eaten raw, juiced, or made into
jelly, and its roots could be made into a tea which
had many medicinal uses.
