For each of your opponents cards that are Excommunicated, your opponent discards a card.
(Excommunicated cards are placed in a separate
pile, next to the affected players graveyard.
Excommunicated cards remain in this pile until the
next time the graveyard is shuffled into the deck.
At that point, all Excommunicated cards are shuffled
into the deck as well.)
