Salience - the issue’s importance to a person or group, Stability - The likelihood that public opinion will change, the speed with which the change will occur, and the likelihood that the new opinion will endure. Direction: The tendency for or against (do we favor or oppose it?) Intensity: The strength of the direction of public opinion.
