Ralph & Piggy find the conch

This is at the beginning of the book when Piggy and Ralph find the conch. They use it to call the boys from all over the island. Also whoever has the conch is the one who can talk. The conch is a major symbol, and the use it throughout the book to call an assembly. "We can use this to call the others...I'll give the conch to the next person to speak."
