Ramon San Martin was a Cuban president and assumed power after the dictator Machado was exiled to the U.S. Beforehand, Ramon was a professor and his former students actually nominated and supported his campaign to become president. When Martin was president, forced businesses to have a maximum of 8 hour long shifts and required them to employ at least half of their workers to be Cuban.
