During downtime activities, the party can
communicate with known locations such as towns, fortresses, etc. That are neutral or friendly to themselves. The response will arrive during the next downtime.

If a party member is trained in Nature, the party
can carry a raven along with them to communicate
with the settlement. How long does the raven takes
in completing the flight, is up to the GM.
