When a non-magical book or piece of parchment
is placed inside the box and the lid is closed, an
exact copy of the item is produced beneath the
original. The lid must not be opened while this
reproduction is taking place or else both items
transform into vibrant purple mist and are lost.
The process takes 8 hours to complete.
There is a 5% chance that a magical book or
piece of parchment can be reproduced in a
similar manner, but the process takes 1d4 days to
complete.
