At the beginning of your upkeep, put a tidal counter on
Riptide.
Equipped creatures gains +X/+X, where X is the number of tidal
counters on Riptide.
If equipped creature would be destroyed, you may instead remove all
tidal counters from Riptide. If you do this, equipped creature
gains indestructible until end of turn. Unequip Riptide.
If Riptide has a tidal counter on it, it has hexproof.
