Sacrifice

"Sacrifice" generally refers to the player willingly
destroying a permanent. Some abilities and
effects are triggered by a sacrifice, often
generating more value than keeping the
permanent on the battlefield. These, combined
with permanents with effects that trigger upon
death can make for a powerful duo.
