Sally Ride, Space Pioneer
Sally Ride was the first American woman in space and the first LGBTQ astronaut. She participated in two space flights; STS-7 and STS-41-G. After NASA, she worked at Stanford University and also led two NASA programs the ISS EarthKAM and GRAIL MoonKAM. These allowed kids to see images of the moon. She was also the president and CEO of Sally Ride science.
