Sarah Magee

In Chesterfield, South Carolina on 14 Nov. 1800
Sarah Louise Magee was born. She is a
descendant of Clan MacGregor of Scotland.
Sarah was 17 years old when she married John
Magee in Washington Parish, Louisiana on
18 Dec. 1817. They were plantation farmers who
owned 64 slaves in 1860. They lost much in the
civil war, but kept their land; it became Clifton,
LA. Sarah passed away there, on 26 May 1889;
She lived to be 88 years old and had 12 children.
