Erwin Schrodinger was born in Vienna,
Austria-Hungary. He fell in love with Arthur Schopenhauer's philosophical works at a young age
and was strongly influenced by them. Schrodinger won
the Noble Prize in physics in 1933 for his wave
equation, but he is most well known to the general
public for his thought experiment, "Schrodinger's Cat".
