At the beginning of your upkeep, put a growth
counter on SCP 822. Then, if there are 10 or
more growth counters on SCP 822, sacrifice it.
SCP 822 gets +0/+1 for each growth counter.

When SCP 822 leaves the battlefield, if it was
sacrificed, it deals 1 damage to each of up to X
target creatures, where X is the number of
growth counters on it. Those creatures
perpetually gain "at the beginning of your upkeep,
put a -1/-1 counter on this creature."
