The Vazdurek cities at the edges of their domain were beset upon by gargantuan tidal waves during the Cataclysm. In a desperate attempt to save their people, the high-sorcerers invoked magicks of mutation, warping the civilians into the first merfolk. While their descendants are aligned with their land-walking cousins for now, the dwellers of the deep are openly hostile towards those who have not suffered the same changed as them.
