The Hanging of the Maids

Main event: Due to Penelope's miscommunication,
Odysseus wrongfully orders Telemachus to kill all the
'disloyal' maids. As a result, the maids haunt
Odysseus for the rest of eternity, disappointed in his
irrational and unjust actions. They alone can
symbolize the discriminatory pressures towards women
in ancient times.
