Instants and sorceries you own have shiv {1}(If this card would be discarded, instead exile it with a shiv counter. As long as it remains in exile you may pay its shiv cost to remove a shiv counter from it and deal 1 damage to target player, battle, or planeswalker.)

When the silent deals combat damage to a player or plainswalker you may discard any number of cards. When you do, you may activate that many shivs without paying their shiv cost.
