A secret organization said to be created by Boston
patriot Samuel Adams. Created in the Thirteen Colonies,
the purpose of the Sons of Liberty was to advance the
rights of the American colonists, as well as fight the
taxation given by Great Britain. The Sons of Liberty also
had a major role in battling the Stamp Act of 1765.
