Theodor Schwann was a German physician and physiologist born in Germany in 1910 and died in Germany in 1882. Theodor Schwann's contribution to biology was developing the cell doctrine that all living things are composed of cells.
•Fun Fact: In 1837 Theodor Schwann discovered a digestive enzyme that he named pepsin.
