One may wonder about potential applications for putting a card into your own graveyard. There are in fact many applications. If you are playing black or white in your deck, you likely have access to a multitude of reanimation spells, allowing you to pull a creature card from said graveyard. Even lacking said options, it may be worth while to instead get rid of a future draw that is undesirable, such as a land card wh
