Trailing Blackberry

Trailing blackberry is native, but is often mistaken for Himalayan blackberry. The best way to tell the difference is that Trailing Blackberry likes to grow somewhat like a blue-purple vine that stays low to the ground, whereas Himalayan Blackberry usually grows on a thick, green stalk that reaches up to the sky. Both of them make delicious berries, and can be pokey at times. But leave this one in.
