If a permanent were to gain any amount of +1/+1 counters, it gains that many -1/-1 counters instead.
{p/b}- Tap a permanent you control and put a -1/-1 counter on it. Put a Phyresis counter on target creature. (When that creature dies, it enters the battlefield under your control with a -1/-1 counter.
