Warped Maelstrom

When a creature you control would be dealt
damage, you may pay {x}. If you do, prevent
X damage to that creature, and distribute
X -1/-1 counters across up to X creatures.
The maelstrom twists the air itself against
the enemy, shedding their strikes without the
slightest effect.
