Water Fleas

Clearish, has carapace-swims in a jerky hopping motion-live in vernal pools, lakes, ponds and wetlands-filter feeders-eaten by the fierce larvae of Damselflies and Aquatic Beetles-viviparous-dominated by asexual reproduction, occasionally supplemented by sexual reproduction. They undergo several molts to reach an adult capable of reproduction. Most of the adulthood, females produce brood of eggs every time they molt.
