Description: A tooth from the whale that sank the Whaleship Essex, stranding 20 sailors, 2000 miles from South America. The sailors spent 93 days, ultimately resorting to cannibalism to survive the journey. The experience resulted in one survivor hoarding food in his attic for the rest of his life.
