William Dawes (1745-1799)
Your tanning business demands frequent travel in
and out of Boston. You get to know the British sentries guarding
Boston's town gate. This makes you ideal for carrying Patriot
messages because no one suspects you. You are chosen along with
Paul
Revere as one of the riders to gallop to Lexington to warn the
Patriots that the British army is on the
move. You later become a Quartermaster in the Continental Army,
responsible for providing
supplies to the troops.
