Cuban Communist Party: 1960s

To maintain his position of power, Castro consolidated all of the political parties in Cuba into one, the Cuban Communist Party. With this being the only legal political party, it made it very difficult for other political groups to band together and take legal action against Castro. There was one political party and Castro had full control over it.
